SilverBacks sign former Buccaneer Jordan Levesque
The Salmon Arm SilverBacks are excited to announce the signing of Jordan Levesque from the VIJHL's Nanaimo Buccaneers.
The 17 year old native of Nanaimo has a played a huge role in the Buccaneers season to this point, amassing 18 goals and 12 assists while helping propel the Bucs to first place in the league's North Division standings.
Troy Mick speaks highly of the 5ft 9” 160lbs youngster who will begin 2013 as a Salmon Arm SilverBack.
"Jordan has proved himself at every level, his point production remained steady from Major Midget through to Junior “B”, and now we feel his offensive abilities will be a solid addition to our youthful line-up. He will certainly be given the opportunity to show us what he can do on a nightly basis."
Levesque spent two seasons in Major Midget with the North Island Silvertips, collecting 66 points in 80 games. He's also had brief stints in the BCHL; with three points in seven games spread over two seasons as an Affiliate Player with the Cowichan Valley Capitals.
The SilverBacks would like to welcome Jordan and his family to the club; we're excited for him to join the organization in time for a pair of big home games this weekend, against Vernon on Friday and his former team the Cowichan Valley Capitals on Saturday.
